The perfect gift for all frontrunners and other so-called Yankee fans.
You can wear a Yankee cap and when people ask what you suppose to be? "I am a dick! I am a Yankee fan! A penis with ears!"
In streets of New York City, people are walking around with brand new Yankee caps. I asked one person with a brand new cap several questions.
Q: Where did you buy the cap and how much?
A: The Yankees Clubhouse Shop for $34.00 bucks.
Q: What was wrong with your old cap?
A: Didn't have one. My first Yankee cap.
Q: Have you been to the new stadium?
A: No, never been to game there yet. Wish I could of gone to the old stadium before it closed?
Q: Did you watch any games this season on TV?
A: None, well they are on the TV when we go out for wine spritzers after work.
Q: Do you know who was the Yankee shortstop before Derek Jeter?
A: Ummm! Jeter is the Yankees?
Frontrunners! By the way, Tony Fernandez the Yankees shortstop before Jeter in 1995. None of you were Yankee fans before 1996.

Met Fan Nightmare:Phillies Will Face The Yankees

New York Yankees pitcher Andy Pettitte winds up to the Los Angeles Angels during the sixth inning.
Next up, New York hosts defending champion Philadelphia in the World Series opener Wednesday night. Cliff Lee is expected to face ALCS MVP CC Sabathia in an enticing pitching matchup between former Cleveland teammates - and the past two AL Cy Young Award winners.
Last Thursday, the Philadelphia Phillies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 10-4 in Game 5 on Wednesday night to win their second straight NL pennant. Brad Lidge closed it out, Ryan Howard was selected NL championship series MVP and the Phillies became the first team to reach consecutive World Series since the New York Yankees in 2000-01.
After beating Tampa Bay in last year's World Series, the Phillies are trying to become the first repeat champions from the NL since the Cincinnati Reds in 1975-76. The Yankees were the last team to win consecutive titles when they captured three in a row from 1998-2000.
The Mets and their fans will be watching the World Series on TV again. Who knows who if anyone will be watching?
Former Mets GM fired by ESPN
Baseball analyst Steve Phillips was fired by ESPN on Sunday night, less than a week after he admitted having an affair with a production assistant at the cable network.
A representative for Phillips also announced the former Mets general manager was entering a treatment facility “to address his personal issues.”
Phillips’ acknowledgment Wednesday of his relationship with 22-year-old Brooke Hundley was splashed across the New York tabloids for days, embarrassing the Bristol, Conn.-based sports giant.
“Steve Phillips is no longer working for ESPN,” network spokesman Josh Krulewitz said in a statement. “His ability to be an effective representative for ESPN has been significantly and irreparably damaged, and it became evident it was time to part ways.”
In 1998, Steve Phillips admitted having sex with a Mets employee, who sued for sexual harassment. That case was settled out of court. Phillips was fired by the Mets in 2003.

Mets Turn Loss To A Win With Madoff
The trustee overseeing jailed financier Bernard Madoff’s assets has labeled the New York Mets winners in the epic fraud. He says the baseball team made nearly $48 million in the Ponzi scheme.
Court-appointed trustee Irving Picard has labeled investors who withdrew more money from Madoff than they invested as net winners. That depiction has been vigorously contested by many investors.
The Mets said on Wednesday the profits have had “no effect” on the team’s operations.
Picard said in a bankruptcy filing Tuesday that the Mets Limited Partnership profited from an original investment of about $523 million. A total of about $571 million was withdrawn from the accounts.
The court filings did not say how long ago the investments were made by the Mets’ owner, Sterling Equities Inc.

StubHub Offers Mets Playoff Tix
Hey, Mets fans, that awful season was just a bad dream—if you believe StubHub.
The company sent an e-mail Monday offering tickets for Mets’ playoff games.
“Be there alongside your New York Mets as they chase baseball immortality,” the e-mail said. “Go to StubHub, where you’ll find a fantastic selection of tickets to every playoff game—so you experience the championship chase live and in person.”
StubHub said e-mails were sent to fans promoting several teams not in the postseason.
“This was due to an e-mail glitch,” spokeswoman Joellen Ferrer said in a statement. “We regret the error and apologize for any inconvenience or confusion this may have caused. Follow-up e-mails will be sent to every person that received the e-mail, notifying them of the error on our part. In no way does this affect any transactions that have taken place on StubHub.”
The Mets finished 70-92 and were out playoff contention by mid-July.
Ferrer said similar e-mails also were sent to Cubs fans. She was not sure of the identity of other teams whose supporters received e-mails.
