Mets GM Omar Minaya said the plan remains for Pedro Martinez to pitch for the Dominican Republic in the World Baseball Classic, but he added the condition of the large toe on Martinez's right foot is to "be evaluated when he gets to Spring Training."

The Mets announced Monday their schedule of events to commemorate the accomplishments of the 1986 World Series champions. The promotions begin May 21 and culminate with a reunion of the team before the Aug. 19 game against the Rockies.
